With Covid-19, the way the Trust operates and the services it provides needed to be delivered remotely wherever feasible. Microsoft were able to rapidly speed up their move to Teams from Skype Voice and the intended broader deployment timescales accelerated, by supplementing existing licensing with E1 trials licenses made available for free to the NHS within a week. This meant they were able to use Teams at a much broader level and continue to deliver and collaborate more widely on their service. The trust has approx. 2500 Surfaces, 1 Surface Hub and 1 Surface Hub on loan, which they are using for corporate and clinical staff to use for control management and crises response during Covid-19.
